About Us
Frogmore Gardens was designed and built on the site of the old Norgate plant farm half way between Blackwood and Trentham. The late Jack Marshal and partner Zena turned empty paddocks into display gardens, a labor of love and dedication.
Hedges separate the space into garden and walks, openings in the hedges beckon you onwards. Borders full of perennials, shrubs, bulbs and annuals are waiting to be discovered as the seasons unfold. However without the tending and supervision of Jack the borders, hedges and nursery are now in need of restoration and rejuvenation, being over run with blackberry and weeds.
As Frogmore’s new owners we have a lot of work ahead of us to to bring the nursery and gardens to the standard that it used to be. It will take some time. Our goal is to grow and sell what has been planted in the gardens, where the plants can be seen as a mature specimen, as well as other unusual perennials.
Heirloom chrysanthemums – a specialist line at Frogmores -will continue and many more varieties added as they become available in sufficient quantities. These will be added to the display gardens along with a large selection of dahlias. These will also be available over the summer in flower as potted plants.
